Jazba Foundation held a collective marriage ceremony of underprivileged couples in Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore. The ceremony was attended by many political and social figures including Lt. Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool President Jazba Foundation, Mr. Ramzan Sheikh, CEO RPGCC, Pervez Qureshi Director RPGCC, Shahid Ali Abbasi CEO Sapphire Group of Companies, Muyhammad Yousaf Administrator Zaka’at Punjab, Deputy Administrator Zaka’at Lahore Division and Mr. Waryam iqbal Junior Secretary Jazba Foundation among others. The mass wedding consisted of a total of 50 couples for which a total amount of 29 Lacs was donated. 48 Muslim girls and 2 non-Muslim girls were lucky to have their names selected to be awarded a dowry consisting of basic household furniture and equipment including bed set with dressing table, molty foam mattress, a quilt, dinner set, steel set, washing machine, pedestal fan and an iron and ensured the delivery of dowry sets at their door steps.
The respected guests, while appreciating the combined gesture of Jazba Foundation and Royal Palm Golf & Country club, said that Jazba Foundation has always actively participated in helping the poor in hard times. Be it supplying everyday essential items like food to flood victims, providing funds for underprivileged students who can’t afford education or helping parents with the weddings of their daughters, the actions taken by Jazba Foundation cannot be ignored. Dispirited and poverty-stricken families have always found Jazba Foundation by their side in tough times and have been satisfied by the initiatives taken by the Foundation to enable the needful to have a chance at a better life.
On this occasion, Lt. Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool said that jazba Foundation is planning to aid 50-100 more poor families and young girls with their weddings and has plans to take this initiative to other cities as well to help out the deprived and needy of the society.
