RPL SEASON 10

 

Rules and Regulations

 

 

• All players of all teams shall be MEMBERS of RPGCC.
• League Based Format
• 16 Teams will be divided in 4 pools
• Every team shall play 3 matches in the respective pool. In case of all 3  teams winning 2 match each in the respective pool, team with the best batting run rate shall qualify for the Quarterfinal
• 6 Over per innings
• 8 Players aside with 1 reserved player (to be named before the first pool match and would remain the same through out the tournament)
• All 8 can bat
• Only 6 can field
• It’s mandatory for every fielder to bowl 1 over
• 2 substitutions are allowed and the substitutions can only be made after a bowler bowls the respective over and the substitute fielder won’t be able to bowl
• Maximum 2 fielders would be allowed on straight boundary
• Minimum 2 fielders would stay in the designated area around the wicket. Finding a fielder outside the designated area would call for a NO BALL
• It’d be Captain’s prime responsibility that his team observes an utter punctuality and Captain would present a final team with players to the match official 15 minutes prior to the match.
• If a team has ONE member short at the schedule time, they can pick their 6th member from the audience. And that 6th member shall play the entire match. He shall not be substituted in case missing member turns up later on.
• For the first time, a match shall be played between 2 teams with best run rates among the lower 8 teams who would not qualify for the quarter finals. And, the winner of the match shall hold the Consolation Cup.
• If a team has TWO members short at the scheduled time of the play, that team shall have to forfeit the match.
• For every player, it’d be mandatory to wear the sponsored T-Shirt and with out it none of the players would be allowed to play the match
• Umpire’s decision would be the final authority. Any comment or reservation in that regard in an uncivilized or vulgar manner would call for a ban on respective player(s)
