This document will provide a brief overview of the services provided by Royal Palm Golf & Country Club (RPGCC). The material can be used for giving out information to members, for our Newsletter (FAQ column) and for the Sales kit, which can be used for presenting to our prospective clients. Since we did not have enough written material in hand to present in the past, this initiative was taken by the Member Services to make communication easier and more impressionable.

Is my membership transferable or non-transferable?
Membership numbers can identify membership types. All membership numbers of alphanumeric
values are transferable and numeric only are non transferable.
Can I sell my membership to the club / is my membership fee refundable?
Membership fee is non-refundable. Sale of your membership to another individual is not RPGCCs responsibility, we only facilitate in transferring the membership.
What is the criterion for transfer of membership?
Criteria for membership transfer is as follows:
Individual Membership After the completion of tenure of 3 years from date joined membership can be transferred to another individual.
Corporate Membership Nominees can be transferred at any stage.
Is there any transfer fee?
Yes. A transfer fee of 10% of the prevailing rate is applicable on individual memberships. A transfer fee of 5% of the prevailing rate if nominee is changed in the 1st year and after 1 year 2.5% of prevailing rate is applicable on corporate memberships.
Does membership type remains same on transferring it to another individual?
Yes membership type remains the same on a transfer. i.e. Founder membership transferred to another individual will be transferred with the founder status along with all its privileges.
What does the color of membership card (Gold, Silver, Green and Blue) means?
Gold cards are for founder, silver for premier, green for Pisa and blue for Traxx Memberships.
If the member has two wives, are both wives entitled to be supplementary members?
No only one of the wives can be registered as lifetime supplementary member.
How many children are entitled to use the club facilities as supplementary
members?
Not more then five children are allowed to use the club facilities as supplementary members.
What is the age limit for member child to avail club facilities?
For founder members age limit for children is 24 years. For individual/premier memberships acquired before 1st September 2005 it is 21 years and after 1st September 2005 it is 18 years.
What happens to member children after the age limits exceeds to be a supplementary member?
Member children after exceeding their age limits can acquire their own membership on discounted membership rates.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Who can come and enjoy the facilities in these restaurants?
Only members along with their guests can avail the restaurant facilities. Non-members are not allowed to come without accompanied by a member.
How many different restaurants we have and what kind of food is served there?
Chameleon (Fusion cuisine) Seating Capacity: 120
Palmers Sports Bar (more towards snacks) Seating Capacity: Approximately 140 - 150 inside & at the terrace.
Traxx Cafι overlooking the lush greens of golf course near swimming pools. This is a family dining area, which will serve Pakistani, Continental & Chinese food. Seating Capacity: 75 inside & on the wooden decks up to 150 persons.
BBQ Cafι adjacent to Palmers Sports Bar, serving typical Pakistani grilled and other dishes on the buffet. But unique BBQ items like Grilled Lobster, Grilled Prawns, Grilled Pomfret etc. will be on A La Carte basis. Seating Capacity: 125 approximately.
Caviar Bar serving very selected snacks menu. Seating Capacity: Approximately 70 80.
How frequently does our menu change?
Menus are revised by keeping in view members feedback. Generally new items are added up in the menu on frequent basis.
What are the timings and dress code for all the restaurants?
Chameleon
Smart (Dress shirt, Trousers, Dress Shoes) Shalwar Kameez with coat or waistcoat only. No flip-flops and open shoes allowed.
Sun-Thursday 1pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to 11.30pm
Fri-Sat 1pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to 3.30am
Palmers
Clean dry sportswear, Smart Casuals, Shalwar Kameez with coat or waistcoat only. No flip-flops and open shoes allowed. Shorts permitted upto 7pm

Open dress code but shorts not allowed

What are the specific rules & regulations for all these restaurants?
Children below the age of 12 are not allowed in Palmers & Chameleon. Parents or an adult member should accompany children between the ages of 12-15. No age limit for kids in Traxx Cafι.
Appropriate dress code is a must for all facilities.
Servants & guards are not permitted to enter and should wait in the designated area.
Guest policy is to be observed. A member is not allowed to bring more then 3 guests along and occupy the tables for more then 100 minutes.
No weapons or illegal substance are permitted in any of the restaurants or club.
Filming and/or photography is not allowed
What banqueting facilities we have?
Fairways---- with a capacity of 250 persons on round tables and 400 persons on casual/theatrical seating.
Dome---- having capacity to accommodate 330 persons on round tables and 600 on theatrical or casual seating soon to be started in Family Clubhouse.
TCH Lawn---- can accommodate 350 persons on round tables and 500 persons on casual/theatrical seating.
Front Lawn---- can accommodate 450 persons on round tables and 600 persons on casual/theatrical seating.
Palmers Lawn---- Exclusive area only for Club events or for member events only on special permission. It can accommodate 1000 persons on round tables and 1500 persons on casual/theatrical seating.
Roof Top---- can accommodate 700 persons on round tables and over 1000 persons on casual/theatrical seating.
Driving Range---- can accommodate 3500 persons on round tables and 5000 on casual/theatrical seating.
Card Room----- Can accommodate 40 50 person to arrange meetings.
Board Rooms ---- in various locations to arrange board meetings and small conferences for 10-50 persons only up till 2 pm.
What are the menu and venue charges?
Venue charges are included in the menu. Menu charges depend on the desired items and facilities.
Can members arrange private parties at the club?
Yes members can arrange private parties, cocktail receptions, wedding receptions, birthday parties, seminars & conferences, corporate events, launching ceremonies etc.
GOLF
Who can play golf on the course?
A player, who has a valid handicap or authorized by club professionals is allowed to play on the course.
Can non-members and referrals play on the course?
Yes anyone who is not a member can use golfing facilities at RPGCC by paying the green fee. Subject to permission from management and should acquire a valid handicap or authorized by club professionals.
What is Green Fee?
It is the charge to play on the course or use the facilities.
Can a player play alone?
Yes, but he has no right on the course and cannot hold up players behind him/her.
What is the right age for a kid to start the golf?
Informal training from 5 year onwards and formal training from 8 year onwards is the ideal age for kids to start playing.
Is there a dress code to play on the course?
Yes. Golf/Polo Shirt - Short or long sleeved - tucked in, with tailored shorts or trousers. Golf Shoes, socks necessary.
What is a driving Range?
Where a player learns how to play. A designated range for members to practice and learn the basics of golf.
Is there a dress code to play on the Driving Range?
Smart sportswear (Polo shirt/collared t-shirt, tailored shirt, tucked in, with pants or tailored shorts) Footwear Cross-training, golf shoes, socks necessary
What is a handicap?
A player after being examined on the course by a qualified golf professional is given a playing handicap, which indicates his/her level of playing. Normally a new player is given a handicap of 24 and as he keeps improving the handicap goes down.
How many holes we have on the golf course?
We have 18 holes golf course with the facility of night golf for 9 holes only.
What is Par of the course?
72 par golf course This is the number of shots taken to complete the entire 18 holes. Par 3, 4 & 5 means the number of strokes in which a ball should be put into the hole. In our 18 holes we have 4 holes of Par 3, 4 holes of Par 5 and 10 holes of Par 4.
What is Caddy Fee?
Caddy fee is the charge for the services of the person carrying the golf bag.
What is Caddy?
A trained person guides a player and carries the players bag on the golf course.
What is a golf cart?
Electronic buggies for two players used for driving on the course instead of walking.
What is a water hazard?
A water body that adds difficulty on the course for players.
What is a bunker?
A hazard filled with sand that adds difficulty on the course for players.
What is a grassy hollow?
A hazard where instead of water or sand grass adds the difficulty. Grass is grown slightly longer than standard.

Traxx is name of the building where we have our sport complex. All sporting facilities portraying a good lifestyle are available here.
What are the facilities in TRAXX?

Personalized coaching is available in all the facilities timings are 7 am to 6 pm and 8 pm to 10 pm.
Free personalized coaching is also provided during 6 pm to 8 pm.
Aerobics Hall For aerobics, stretching sessions, Yoga and Karate. Air- conditioned, wooden floor hall to accommodate about 30-40 people.

What are the Rules & Regulations for TRAXX?

Visitors permissible only upon filling the PAV form authorized by marketing dept or the management.

The time duration to use each facility may be restricted or extended as directed by the facility in-charge.
Lockers are for day use only. They may be rented at Rs. 500/- per month or Rs. 5000 per year.

Credit/Billing
What is due date of payment of club dues?
Due date of payment of club dues is 15th of the month. Following the end of the month to which the statement relates.
When are statements sent to members?
Statements are sent to members on 5th of the month following the month of statement. E.g. statement for the month of March 06 will be sent to member on 5th of April 2006
What is late payment surcharge?
Late payment surcharge is levied on a member when payment is not made by the due date.
How can member make the payment of club dues?
Members can make payment either in cash by visiting the accounts office, giving debit payment authority, through direct bank transfer or via credit card at any outlet of the club or they can always drop cross cheques at the placed drop boxes by member services.
How are the statement sent to overseas members?
Statements are sent to overseas members through e-mail at the address available in record of the club by 10th of every month.
What is subscription fee?
Subscription fee is a monthly charge that is payable by every member. Members are divided into three different categories for charge of subscription fee, which are as follows:
Resident Members PKR. 2,500
Non-Resident Members PKR 1,250
Out of Province Members PKR 1,875
Is there any discount offered in subscription fee?
Where members pay subscription fee of one year in advance they are charged with 11 months of subscription fee and one-month subscription fee is offered as a discount.
What is debit payment authority?
Debit payment authority is given by member to ensure that club dues are paid on time irrespective of the fact that members is in or out of country. This authority ensures that club dues are collected through credit card of the respective member. At present only VISA and MASTER cards are accommodated.
What if club dues are not paid for a certain period of time?
Where club dues are not paid for more that 90 days, members account can be suspended besides levy of late payment charges. The suspension of account also leads to levy of reactivation fee which ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 rupees.
If payment is made through cheque, in which name it is to be issued?
Cheques can be written in the name of RPGCC, Mainland Husnain Pakistan Limited or MHPL.
What are the timings to make payment?
Cash payment can be made within office hours while payment through cheque can be made throughout the week either through post or by leaving the cheque in drop boxes available in TRAXX and Palmers.
